We expected a lot of big things from the 2013 SRT Viper; a big engine, big horsepower, and a big personality. Chrysler delivered on all three counts, and if history was to be any indicator, we also expected a big price. Chrysler has not disappointed, giving the 2013 SRT Viper a price on par with its predecessors, while still maintaining its identity as an “affordable” American supercar.
Today, along with a huge crop of new pictures, Chrysler has released the pricing of the 2013 SRT Viper, which will cost you $97,395 before destination charges. Add another $1,995 for those destination charges, and you have a MSRP of $99,390 for the base model Viper.
Of course the “base” model Viper comes with a number of premium features, including the 8.4 liter V10 engine producing 640 horsepower and 600 ft-lbs of torque and a gorgeous new interior that is far superior to past Viper designs. This is an American exotic in every sense of the word, though if you’re willing to spend a bit more money, you can get even more track-day goodies for the new Viper.
Stepping up to the Viper GTS model will cost you $122,390 (after destination), but for that extra $20,000 you’ll get a two-mode suspension and an even more premium interior. YOu’ll also have the knowledge that you’ve joined an elite club of Viper GTS owners, as Chrysler has made it clear the new Viper is as much a supercar as it is a race car. For these prices, its a pretty affordable race car too.
