Twenty years ago there wasn’t even the pretense of performance in the Cadillac lineup, and the best buyers could hope for was that the Northstar V8 wouldn’t betray them for having to haul those 90s luxury barges. Today it is a much different story, with the 2016 Cadillac CTS-V offering up to 640 horsepower thanks to the LT4 engine borrowed from its corporate cousin, the Corvette Z06. It’s smaller stablemate, the ATS-V, offers 464 horsepower from its twin-turbo V6, rivaling European competitors and even the mighty Camaro SS, despite being down on cylinders.

As though these two high-performance Cadillacs weren’t special enough, GM is now offering the pair with the Crystal White Frost Edition package, adding a unique exterior color, wheels, and other features to the already-hefty price tag.

The Crystal White Frost matte-finish exterior paint is what gives the package its name, though this is more than just a paint job. Both the ATS-V and CTS-V benefit from the Carbon Fiber package, which adds a carbon fiber front splitter, hood vent, and rear diffuser, along with a composite rear spoiler and rocker extensions. The Luxury Package is also included on both models, adding features like sport alloy pedals, a 110-volt outlet, and split rear folding seats.

Optional features for the ATS-V included an 8-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters, Recaro racing seats, gold or red Brembo brake calipers, and the Performance Data and Video Recorder. The CTS-V can be upgraded in a similar fashion, along with an “ultra-view” sunroof feature. The 2016 Cadillac ATS-V Crystal White Frost Edition sedan starts at $71,460, with coupes at starting $73,660. Meanwhile, the 2016 Cadillac CTS-V Crystal White Frost Edition sedans start at $94,990, and just 99 units will be built between the three models: 29 CTS-V sedans, 39 ATS-V coupes, and 31 ATS-V sedans.
