SEMA 2015: Forgeline Debuts Eight New Wheel Designs

Forgeline-34Each year at SEMA, we are all invigorated at how new concepts and designs are consistently wowing the crowd and breaking new ground.

One area that never ceases to amaze is the set of jewelry that we adorn our cars with: the wheels. You would think that, in decades of design and finishes, we would have run out of new wheel designs by now, but that’s not the case with Forgeline. Granted, there are wheels with anywhere from three to 12 or more spokes and few manufacturers are void of any number of wheels with spokes. But Forgeline continues to dazzle us all with new designs on existing spoke wheels that make it even harder to choose which one we like the most. All of its new wheels are 6061-T6 forged aluminum and are available in any color or finish.

Three new Monoblock Series wheels: the VX1 (left), the MT1 (center), and the GE1 (right).

Forgeline wheels are designed and engineered for the performance and motorsports industry, and one of its popular designs is the one-piece forged Monoblock Series. Three new designs are being added to the lineup and debuting at SEMA: the VX1 — a split five-spoke design, the MT1 — a 10-spoke deep concave design, and the GE1 — an eight-spoke design with a center locking hub. In addition to the GE1, the GE1R will also be available, which features a slightly more open design aimed specifically for competitive racing. Each of these wheels are available in 18- to 21-inch diameters, and a variety of widths and offsets are available.

While the TA3 (left) is a re-launch, the RS6 (right) is a new, Roadster Shop-inspired design.

Forgeline’s Heritage Series will see two new entries: the TA3 and the RS6. If either of these wheels look vaguely familiar, it’s intentional. The TA3 captures the iconic snowflake design of the Pony car era, and while it’s not a completely new wheel, it will re-launch with both 18- and 19-inch diameters. The RS6 is a brand new six-spoke design developed in cooperation with the crew at the Roadster Shop, debuting on their award-winning 1964 Corvette Coupe. It’s a center lock wheel application available in 19- and 20-inch diameters. Both new Heritage wheels are a three-piece design, and are available in a variety of widths and offsets.

Two new Concave Series wheels will also debut: the CV3C (left) and the CH3P (right).

For its Concave Series, the new CV3C Concave wheel features a seven-spoke design in three-piece construction available in a deep or shallow concave profile for that staggered look. The CH3P is the latest for the Premier Series, and is a five-spoke design with clean, sharp edges and a modern feel. It is designed with a flat reverse outer lip, but can be combined with a stepped lip in limited sizes. Both wheels are available in 18- to 21-inch diameters with a choice of exposed or hidden hardware, and are also fully customizable in fitment and finish, including center lock applications.

Be sure to check out the new designs on the Forgeline website and view more options and details about each of these new wheels. Which will be your choice for the next build?
