As we count down the final weeks until the 2015 SEMA Show in the one and only Las Vegas, we find ourselves sifting through more and more custom cars, unique builds, and over-the-top projects that are bound for Sin City. It’s fair to say that after so many years of covering SEMA, it can take a lot to pique our interest, but every so often a mystery car pops up on our radar, grabbing our attention for what it doesn’t show compared to what it does.
Alphamale Performance out of Germany has released just a handful of images and a single rendering of its custom widebody 2015 Ford Mustang over at the Mustang 6G forums. Called the “Alpha One” widebody kit, Alphamale Performance is offering three versions of the kit to appeal to different tastes and budgets.
The basic kit consists of four over-wheel fenders, hood scoop, side skirts, a front splitter and rear diffuser, and a pair of rear diffuser add ons. In addition to being offered in both carbon fiber and fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP), Alphamale is offering a mixed kit that has the fenders and hood scoop in FRP, with the rest of the parts in carbon fiber. Three kits for three different looks and budgets.
Alphamale isn’t rolling out tons of build images or renderings, just the handful of pics you see here. In an age of social media and over-sharing, this step back from the typical attention-grabbing speaks to a certain confidence in this Mustang’s build. The Alphamale team is going to let their work do the talking for them, which is a risky but calculated move. It’s certainly got us wanting to track the car down once the doors to that land of automotive magic are thrown open.
