“Crowdsourcing” is a 21st century invention made possible thanks to the Internet. For those unfamiliar with this term, crowdsourcing eschews typical forms of money raising, like investors or loans, and instead turns to small donations from lots of people in order to fund cool projects. At the heart of crowdsourcing is a website called Kickstarter, where people can pitch in as little as a dollar for a project they believe in.

There have been plenty of car-centric projects on Kickstarter before, but one that really caught our eye was the work Sabrina Chun. Chun has taken eight iconic vehicles, including three classic Fords, and turned them into black-and-white profiles of each. And we gotta say, these works of art are simply sublime.

Of the eight prints, three are Fords; the 1967 Shelby GT500, the Shelby Cobra, and of course the Ford Model T. Other vehicles include the Volkswagen Microbus, the Porsche 911, and Lamborghini Countach. There is also Ecto-1 from the movie Ghostbusters and the DeLorean from Back to the Future.

With almost two months left on the Kickstarter timeline, Chun has already raised more than eight times her modest goal of $5,000, bringing in more than $42,000 from almost 700 backers. That means she’ll be kept plenty busy, though you can still donate and get on the waiting list. For $34, she’ll send you mini-prints of each of the 8 vehicles, while $139 or more gets you jumbo sizes of each of the eight vehicles. Definitely a cool project, and we think those Fords would look great in any man-cave, garage, or office.
