YEARONE Reproduction Wheels Merge Classic Looks With Modern Sizes

YEARONE has been in business since 1981, and the automotive restoration and performance giant has grown to a popularity level known the world over. Originally specializing in selling 1st-generation Firebird parts, the boys from Braselton, Georgia have been expanding their markets to cater to all musclecar owners.

Not only do they offer stock replacement pieces, but they also market high-performance parts to the enthusiast. They even design their own wheels, and they recently released these modern remakes of the classic Magnum and Chevrolet N90 wheels. Read the official releases below for further details.

Official Release:

YEARONE Reproduction N90 Wheels

Updating classic wheel designs is rapidly becoming a Year One tradition, and once again the company has taken a well-known wheel from the past and upgraded it for use with today’s latest car-building trends.

Known as the N90 wheel, these are larger diameter, modern remakes of the original aluminum casting found on late second-generation Camaro Z28's and the mid-80's Monte Carlo SS.

The Chevy “N90” wheel was a popular option on late second-generation Z28s and was the aluminum wheel used on the hot-selling Monte Carlo SS cars through the mid-80s. While the design of the wheel is great, the original 15” diameter makes the wheel look dated. YearOne solves this problem by introducing the N90 design in a modern 17×8 size with backspacing of 4.25” or 5”. The 17-inch diameter allows the use of modern performance tires while also clearing most modern brake setups. The 8” width allows the wheel to fit the G-body Monte Carlos as well as the F-body Camaros with no issues. The cast aluminum wheels are powder-coated silver with machined edges and outer lip.

At first glance this looks like a stock Monte SS, but upon closer inspection you can clearly see they are larger in size.

The new reproduction wheels are available individually, or as sets complete with center caps and lug nuts. Visit YearOne.com for current part numbers and pricing information.

YEARONE 17-inch Aluminum Magnum Wheels

Muscle car parts supplier YEARONE has started a tradition of releasing new wheels based on classic designs from the muscle car era updated with modern materials and sizing. The success of the program has led to yet another iconic wheel getting the YEARONE treatment.

Used on a few different makes during the late '60's and early '70s, the Magnum wheel has been a timeless design.

The newest wheel to be updated is based on the Magnum – a design so popular it was used by all of the Big Three throughout the muscle car period. Of course, as cool as the original wheel was, YEARONE has improved it by casting it in aluminum (the originals were stamped steel) and offering it in a modern 17-inch diameter with both 8- and 9-inch widths available.

Further, the YEARONE Magnum is offered in 4.5” bolt patterns (used on Mopar and Ford products) as well as the 4.75” pattern favored by GM. Multiple backspacings are also available.

Updating the material to aluminum saves unsprung weight while increasing the size allows the use of modern tires and increases room for bigger brakes used by today’s builders. With a machined finish accented by black powdercoated recesses, the wheels accept original center caps and lug nuts for an authentic yet modern look. The cherry on top of all this coolness is the extremely affordable pricing.

Here is a 1970 Chevelle SS with a 17-inch version of the factory Magnum wheel.

Features:

  • Lightweight, aluminum design
  • Factory look with improved handling
  • Unlike the original stamped pieces, they won’t rust
  • Larger diameter wheel allows for larger brake rotors
