For the gearhead in the Philadelphia area, the winter can be such a bore. Snow and freezing temperatures make us forget about the hot summer nights, cruising in that classic muscle car or flying down the dragstrip. For many years the custom car enthusiast had one weekend where they could get excited about cars again. That was the Philadelphia Custom Car Show.
Check out there website for more information: www.northeastcustomcarshow.com
It was an indoor event that was held in the Philadelphia Civic Center and later in the Fort Washington Expo center. I think it was the ISCA World of Wheels show that traveled through the country. There were beautiful machines at those events and tons of people checking them out. That show has been gone for many years now and people really miss it. Well, it looks like it might be back in another form. Full House Motorsports has put together the Northeast Rod & Custom Car Show at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks, PA. If your in the tri-state area, mark your calendars for March 25th, 26th and 27th. This is a show that you are not going to want to miss.
Vehicles will be grouped into the Show, Street, and Cycle Class. There will be plenty of these hot rides and even celebrities signing autographs. Of course the custom car show would not be complete without some beautiful women. Supermodels Jessica Barton and Krista Elyse will be making appearances at the show. There will also be some professional drag racers there, some local legends and vendors too. When you walk inside you will find one of the largest suburban exhibition centers on the east coast with up to 230,000 square feet of uninterrupted exhibition space and over 5000 free on site parking spaces. This sounds like a great way to get your motor running and ready for spring.
