We just finished this engine last Friday to put it in the crate to come here. This is the first street engine that we pumped out, it is literally one of one.
Utilizing a Ford Boss 302 block, the engine pushes out an impressive 580 horsepower and 480 ft/lbs of torque.
“We literally just finished this engine last Friday to put it in the crate to come here,” says Technical Specialist Jeremy Anderson. “This is the first street engine that we pumped out, it is literally one of one.”
The engine package retails at $24,900. Which is really affordable when you consider everything that it includes, everything from the ignition system to the front drive accessories. The long list of features include everything to get the engine running:
- Ford Racing Boss 302 Block
- K1 Forged Crank and Rods
- JE Pistons
- Solid Roller Comp Cam
- Windsor style heads
- Jesel Shaft Rocker arms
- Hard Anodized Front Accessories
- Stainless Steel Valves with 8mm Stems
- Accel DFI Fuel Injection with look of vintage down draft carburetor
- EFI comes mapped and tuned
- Mallory Roush Yates ignition Box and Coil
The engine is pump gas friendly and idles at 950 RPM, and can be taken to 7500-7700 RPM’s. “The point of this engine is to show that we can come up with a combination if someone needs it. A lot of people think we are strictly Ford, which isn’t the case. A lot of our race teams own Chevys and Fords both built by us.”
The vintage look makes it a perfect for resto-mods or even a weekend track car. For more information make sure you visit RoushYates home on the web at RoushYates.com.
