Ever since Ford snagged Ken Block from Subaru, the DC Shoes and Hoonigan frontman has had a seemingly-unlimited budget for his increasingly elaborate Gymkhana stunt videos. Then there’s the decidedly low-budget “Snowkhana” videos, which take Ken Block’s driving antics and shrink them down to toy size in celebration of Christmas and the holiday season. Ford and Block have just released the fourth entry into Snowkhana, and it’s arguably the best one yet.
Once again a die-cast model of Block’s Ford Fiesta Hybrid Function Hooning Vehicle (HFHV) is the star of the stop-motion video, with various toys from the Christmas days of our childhood joining in on the fun. There are classic movie characters from the likes of Toy Story and Despicable Me, while the recent release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, also brought some familiar faces (and sounds) to Snowkhana 4.
Some live-action entertainment even gets mixed in as Santa takes the all-new, 345 horsepower Focus RS for some low-speed drifting action around the North Pole. This attracts the attention of some police officers lacking in the holiday cheer department, though Santa Block is able to easily outmaneuver and hide from the long arm of Johnny Law.
While the video comes in at just under three minutes, it’s every bit as entertaining as Block’s typical Gymkhana videos that usually take twice as long. So while you may not find an all-wheel drive Focus RS in your driveway or under your tree this year, at least you can enjoy this video of Block doing what he does best; hooning the hell out of a Blue Oval vehicle.
