It’s been a long, agonizing journey for the all-new Viper. After being left for dead, Fiat promised to bring an even better Viper this year. Dropping the Dodge name and becoming the halo car of the new SRT division, the 2013 Viper is poised to marry American muscle and Italian luxury into a single 600+ horsepower supercar.
After over a year of waiting though, the reveal day is less than a week away. To wet our whistles ahead of the big unveiling, the Drive SRT Facebook page has released yet another teaser shot, this time of the interior…and there’s a hidden Easter Egg for the sharp-eyed among you.
The picture seems to be taken from the dashboard on the driver’s side, looking at the passenger’s seat. Racing seats we expected, and the interior certainly looks swanky and sporty all at once. Yet what is that handle for? Is it an “Oh crap!” bar, meant for holding onto when the driver slams the gas? That’s what we are assuming.
And what about that Easter Egg? It’s a QR Code, hidden in the seat. For you smartphone owners, scan it, and you’ll be taken to a webpage where Drive SRT is counting down to the official reveal, which will be broadcast live, for free, on the Internet. It’s a cool feature, but at this point we’re ready to see the damn thing already. Next Wednesday can’t come soon enough!
