There are few creatures as steeped in legend and lore as the mighty wolf. From their unmistakable howls to the hierarchy of the wolf pack, these carnivorous creatures frequently appear in American pop culture and advertisements as well. Although it might seem difficult to link a wolf with an automobile, Dodge has done it in a fun and creative way with their new advertisement, “Wolf Pack.”
“After more than a century of making trouble, we craft muscle cars, compacts, crossovers and SUVs with massive doses of attitude,” reads the description below the video. Indeed, Dodge has always had to fight to make a name for itself in the shadow of the larger and more popular Chevy and Ford brands. But that’s what always made Mopar, and in particular Dodge, so special.
Right now the Dodge brand is arguably the most performance-driven vehicle lineup in America. There are only a few cars on the planet currently more powerful than the 707 horsepower Dodge Charger or Challenger Hellcat, and the Viper is one of the only vehicles bold enough to bring a naturally-aspirated V10 to the wolf pack party.
Enjoy it while you can though, because the next five years are going to see a massive overhaul of Fiat-Chrysler’s business plan, and the Dodge brand isn’t likely to survive totally unscathed. The aforementioned Charger and Challenger are long overdue for replacement, and it’s already been confirmed that the end of Viper production comes next year.
In other words, the wolf pack might be sticking together for too much longer.
