Ohio resident, Brendan Eden was reportedly traveling at 100 mph when he veered off the pavement on Interstate 675 and into the center median, passing an Ohio State Highway Patrol officer whose dashboard camera was running.
Captured on video, the 1985 Firebird then hit a culvert which launched the car almost twenty feet into the air and into a bridge support. The car broke into several pieces and closed the highway while emergency responders arrived and took the driver to hospital, where he was listed in critical condition.
Witness reports indicate that Eden had been driving erratically on the highway prior to the incident.
