When the original Ken Block Gymkhana video hit the Internet, viewers were blown away by this new kind of motorsport involving an awesome obstacle course and some serious tire smokage. Now all these years later we’re on Gymkhana 6, with Ken Block now shilling for Pirelli Tires, Monster Energy, and the Ford Motor Company.
But Gymkhana 6 is all about Need For Speed, which helped Block set up his latest and greatest obstacle course to help promote the upcoming Need For Speed: Rivals game, as well as 2014’s Need For Speed movie.
Less about that and more about Ken Block’s Hoonigan action. Gymkhana 5 was all about running through the streets of San Francisco, and Block had to know this would be hard to top. Gymkhana 6 is designed to be the ultimate Gymkhana Grid course, of course with Block’s on sick twist. With a gold-plated shifter knob in his 650 hp Ford Fietsa Hybrid Function Hooning Vehicle, Block sets about driving through the crazy obstacle course featuring a slew of new ridiculousness, such as driving under a pair of backhoes or around a spiked wrecking ball.
While he is at it, Block manages to fit in a game of kickball, as well as taunt a pair of Lamborghinis wearing police livery while drifting in between them. Of course some classic mainstays, like the weird man driving a Segway scooter, are back for their roles in this latest Gymkhana video, which we’re sure will draw more than its fair share of views and critics.
So after watching number six we have to wonder what’s on tap for Gymkhana 7?
