The Ford Mustang is an integral part of American history, a car that has become an icon all over the world, the vanguard of progress and prosperity. Millions of these classic Mustangs were built, and their recognizable shape and relative abundance made them popular with a wide variety of people…including artists with glue guns and a point to make.
Over at The Truth About Cars Murilee Martin, a wacky car writer in his own right, came across this wild and some might even say “artistic” Mustang in a San Jose junkyard.
This ‘69 Mustang was first spotted when Martin wrote Jalopnik’s “Down On The Street” Column about interesting cars he found parked on the road. This Mustang is absolutely covered in glue that holds a variety of objects like skulls, ammunition, toys and it is pretty hard to figure out the exact message here. Is it anti-war? An art project gone awry? Is the artist saying that toys kill kids?
