As the story goes, the current owner has had the numbers-matching Mustang for some 42 years, after it was parked following a run in with the law and a fire hydrant sometime in the early 1970s. Everything about the car is in perfect, unrestored condition, save for where the front left fender met the unfortunate fire hydrant.

Fully-equipped with a 3.91 Traktion Lok rear end, a four-speed close ratio manual transmission, and still wearing the original belted tires, this Boss 302 Mustang has just over 43,000 miles on the odometer. It’ll need a thorough vetting to make roadworthy, but the engine spins by hand and the electrical system still works. It’s an amazing find that is increasingly rare these days, and somebody is going to be very happy with their new blue Boss.
